We commend the effort and initiative here. We feel this is what schools should be focusing on and love the fact that you are taking lessons you have learned and helping school districts apply them. There is much need for more such application of learnings. —Bridgespan

With support from the School Finance Redesign Project (SRFP) at the University of Washington’s Center on Reinventing Education and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, ERS is designing several web-based tools to guide system and school leaders in understanding and maximizing their allocation of time, people, and money to support improved instruction. These tools allow school leaders to understand their resource use at the district and the individual school level, linking staffing, spending, scheduling, and practice data together and providing school leaders with variety of scenarios to meet the program goals of all students. DREAM – District ResourcE Allocation Modeler This web-based tool allows district leaders to test a variety of scenarios for resource use, and focus resources more strategically on their highest priority needs. ERS Small Schools Tool The tool will assist in analyzing the impact of the school design on budgets and schedules as well as other critical indicators such as class size, teacher load, and time spent on core academics. For school redesign the tool can model several years of resource allocation choices and then compare the results over time. Read more about the ERS Small Schools Design Tool . . .
